FAQs

These questions will come in useful when considering Vacation Ownership

What is Vacation Ownership?

Vacation Ownership allows a customer to purchase non-deeded ownership, for a given period, for an agreed amount of time for an agreed number of years. For example, a popular scenario may be a customer buying 1 week per year for 30 years.

Can I exchange my Emerald Vacation Group week

We have negotiated membership for our property owners to Interval International the largest exchange company in the world. This means you can swap with any similar rated properties on their database, anywhere in the world, subject to availability (of which there is always plenty).

What's the difference between timeshare and vacation ownership?

Nothing. Timeshare is blighted with an age old myth of hard sell and impossible to get out. At Emerald Vacation Group it is our intention to dispel this myth by upholding a level of integrity, honesty and transparency at all stages of our operation.

Can I sell my property if I don't want it anymore?

Yes you can. There are numerous brokers around the world who can act on your behalf and Emerald Vacation Group are forging partnerships with the best of these companies.

How much does vacation ownership cost for 1 week.

All Emerald Vacation Groups properties are of the highest quality in some of the best holiday destinations in the world. All our properties are graded by Interval International on a variety of criteria including location, length of ownership contract, resort rating and the season in which you own your week. A range of different tariff options will be presented to you during an initial presentation meeting with one of our dedicated presentation consultants.

Do Emerald Vacation Group use fixed week or floating week?

First of all let us explain the difference between the two.

Fixed week allows you to spend a week at one of our properties during the same calendar dates each year.

Floating week on the other hand typically means you can choose which week (normally in an agreed season) you intend to visit the property. A floating week gives you more flexibility, but is obviously subject to availability.

EVG has decided to adopt a floating week policy for its properties which means a single rate across the entire year. Owners have a booking window of 12 months.

Do I have to go to the same resort every year?

No. There are over 2,200 resorts worldwide. For a small annual fee payable to Interval International they will organise a quick and straight forward transfer to your preferred destination. You are therefore trading or exchanging your week for comparable accommodation throughout the world. You can be provided with information on the range of transfer opportunities upon request.
